The Issue:
In East Africa, 30% of the youth are unemployed, 1.5 billion live in remote communities with no electricity, or access to internet and connectivity.
The Solution:
Develop an intervention providing connectivity services at low cost, that will generate jobs for microentrepreneurs and provide access to electricity and internet.
The Story:
Henri developed the first prototype of a solar-powered mobile charging kiosk, which are used to recharge smartphones and sell IT services in areas where there is no electricity.Thanks to an innovative micro-franchise model, his kiosks are growing rapidly and creating a new generation of entrepreneurs.
